Motley Crue’s frontman was arrested in Las Vegas early Monday morning on a drunk driving charge. Vegas is home to Vince, who is heavily invested in the area through his various businesses, which include several tattoo shops, a couple of bars, his own line of tequila, and a luxury air charter service based out of a private terminal at the Las Vegas airport.

By now Neil has most likely posted his $2000 bail and appeared in court. Sadly enough, this isn’t his first time in the clink for a DUI. In 1984 he was sentenced to 30 days in jail after a DUI and car crash killed his passenger, Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley, the drummer for 80s metal band Hanoi Rocks.

Let’s hope Neil sobers up and flies right quickly. His third solo album, Tattoos & Tequila, was just released last week, and Motley Crue is prepping to take the lead at this year’s Ozzfest. Stay tuned!

In a statement to AP, Motley Crue’s Nicki Sixx expressed his dismay on behalf of the band, and reminisced about the impact Dio had on them all, “Ronnie was one of the kindest souls I have ever met and his talent was beyond inspirational to so many of us. I still have this image of him standing on stage in front of 100,000 belting out ‘Man on the Silver Mountain’ and remember the shivers it sent up my spine. He will be missed by all of us.”

Motley Crue has toured with Dio and his band in the past, and were shocked to learn of his death. Dio died on Sunday, May 16th, succumbing to the stomach cancer he was first diagnosed with last year. He was 67.

The tour runs through Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, London, Quebec City, Toronto and Montreal, so if you’re anywhere in Canada in the coming weeks, you have no excuse!
